It will work if you just want something for portability, however if your looking for anything more its most likely not going to be able to do so. I would take a look at some used laptops as you can find good deals on them. With a decent video card and a dual core processor, however that price is really cheap if it is brand new.

ebay is a good place, however i personally do use www.craigslist.com. Allows you to deal locally, and if your looking for a basic laptop they have tons of them. However I have also had hit and miss sometimes but i guess its just my bad luck.
