Is a Lan House Possible???

Hi guys, I am trying to put together a LAN house as an investment.
I'll be doing this back in my country Brazil.
But I giugure I buy everything here since it's much cheapor than there.

Now here's what I'm looking to spend. $1500 total.

I wanted to see if we can put together 5 pcs for about $300.00 each.
I know it's only $1500 total, but I don't need cd burner dvd burner nothing like that.

All I need is motherboard, processor, memory, cd player and maybe case.

All suggestions will be greatly apreciated and thank you all in advance!!!

well if your questions is "can i wire cat-5 throughout my house" yes you can, i do that at my house, connecting to a switch

edit: sorry...was thinking in the wrong direction...lol

Well if its for gaming, then $300 pc's wont work.

As for lanning, buy a switch and hook all the computer up to it.
 
perhaps you could just have all your friends/people who will ever go there pitch in and help build better pcs, to make the gaming worthwile

Ok, so how much do you guys think it will take to build a decent pc for gaming?
Remember that I do not need dvd burner, monitors, mouse keyboard, nothing like that.

Just motherboard, processor, memory, video card.

700 :) dont need a great processor, cheap AMD will do well, im thinkin 7800 GT,a 100 dollar motherboard. he doesnt need the holy gaming pc does he like SLi or anything.
 
or even 6800's :P and id say realistically, a sempron 3100-3400($150), gig of ram($75), Mobo($40), Non cool lanning cases($25), CD Drive($12), 40HDD($30), 6600GT($145)

how about a sempron 2800+ for $75, 1GB RAM for $70, and a 6600GT for $120.

And a Motherboard...

And a HardDrive....

And Cd Drive......

And Mice/Keyboards

And cases to put them all in

along with power supplys

And monitors to view them all on...

Im starting to think this is gonna be harder than it seems.

i was just naming items thatm would be better than what Ku-Sama said.

by that statement i think he meant he just doesnt need anything fancy (as in this case, a cd/dvd burner/writer)

When I get my own house some day :D I plan on replacing most of the phone jacks with LAN/Phone jacks. Basically Jacks which will function as either depending on what's plugged in to it. Not hard to do at all considering that the wires which will be used by the phone line are unused by the lan and vice versa.

Oh it can be done for $300 even... it just depends on what your expectations are.

I plan on replacing most of the phone jacks with LAN/Phone jacks. Basically Jacks which will function as either depending on what's plugged in to it.

They have phones that use RJ45? (or you plan on using RJ11/12 LANning?)

what exactly do you want to do with this lan house? Extreme high end gaming or like internet pub?
