iPod headphones

I have a pair of headphones that work fine when plugged into a computer but if I plug them into my ipod, the left speaker goes out. Sometimes if I move the cord around, it will temporarily come back on. I tried the iPod with multiple different pairs of headphones and the same thing happened. Could there be a problem with my headphone jack? If so, what is wrong and how can I fix it.

You know where it can be replaced or how much it will cost? I still cant seem to figure out what happened to it, It worked this morning, then just stooped when I plugged it in today.

Well, if you have a habit of plugging in and unplugging the headphones then eventually, the jack will break. Check around at different electronic stores to see if they can fix it.

Ok, thanks for the help. I was actually planing on selling it and getting an android phone in a few months. Most places around where I live charge about $50 to replace the jack  It might be worth just buying a new mp3 until I have enough for an android.

When that happened to me, I opted to buy a new one instead. It's better to have a new one than to replace it coz it will eventually break too.

Similar problem faced last month. Need to replace the jack and it is the best solution.
