iPod Classic

Does anyone know whether or not the iPod Classic will be updated this year?

I have been waiting in anticipation of an announcement regarding this for awhile, all that has been announced is that the product line wont be killed off!

For me though the wait for an update to the classic could not come quicker, I bought my 5th gen 120Gb classic 1 day after release date (September 9, 2008), and I will never regret that purchase. Has survived multiple motocross accidents, being in my pocket as I was being hit by a car, many brutal downhill long boarding stacks, being dropped in snow while snowboarding and many many drunken nights out. The toughest iPod to ever live. (pics)

Sadly though, I have outgrown the 120gb and a 160gb would also be just to small (190gb music library), so I hope there are other people out the who love the idea of being able to carry their whole music collection with them (and a few films) in a standalone (as in separate to phone) with a physical interface (to allow track to be changed while jogging and without being taken out of pocket), lets hope the iPod Classic line is continued, LONG LIVE THE CLASSIC.

I totally agree with tuffie I also say a rumor that Apple might use toshiba's new ultra portable 220gb HDD because it has the same form factor as the current HDD. I also have a decent size music library (roughly 130gb) and I much prefer the ability to change songs while the iPod is in my pocket. Unless by some miracle apple decides to make an iPhone with a 160gb HDD I want a iPod classic.
