Internet sharing with AOL

Hi, I cant seem to get internet sharing to work, I have aol broadband (adsl bt modem)

There is 1 pc in my house ( it has aol on it ) and I want to share with my laptop (wireless card, file sharing and printer sharing all active and working)

I am not using a router I am using an access point attached to my 5 way hub

I realize a wireless router would be the best option, but I did no want to put free equipment to waste

My intend is to share the internet connection share using Microsoft’s ICS

Does anyone have an idea how to do this

Please note I have activated sharing on the connection and the small hand in visible. I don’t think its anything to do with my network setting as file sharing and printer sharing works fine.

Firewalls have been adjusted accordingly

you are making it waaaaaaaaaay to difficult, first you do not need to use ICS
I am going to tell you how to do and it is not going to be with the access point, you can try that latter.
1. connect you dsl modem into the WAN port on your wireless router
2. is your wireless router the same format as the card 802.11g or b or what ever ?
3. are you able to access the internet with the one pc ?
4. you will have to connect to the router and make sure the SSID , CHANNEL
are thwe same on the wifi card and the router, turn off all firewalls
after you get it going I can see if the access point works.
