Internet Ports

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to determine what internet ports a program uses? Can this be done via another program or commands from DOS?

Thank you for your informative reply. I'm not that technical so I really don't know what I'm looking at. I've recently installed a new poker client on my pc but I need to find the internet port numbers so I can access it through my networks firewall.

Any suggestions?

hmm well you can capture packets and see what it tries to do but the best way to do it would be through port forwarding on your router. You can do it by application name in the router control panel. I have my bit torrent clients forwarded to a random port on my router
