1 - Where can I download Internet Explorer 7.0 ?
2 - Is it free to download?
3 - Will it overwrite the version I already have or will there be two Internet Explorers?

I tried going here... "http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx"

but i cant go much further. Its asking me about a pop-up after that one this screen...

but i cannot see the popup

You may not want to go there for it. Many have tried out the beta version that is currently the only one available and then sought help in removing it afterwards. It's still far from the final version while offering some improvements.

Your Microsoft link is fine, it's asking to validate your copy of windows and if OK will let you download.

I have uninstalled IE7 in the past from Add/Remove and it automatically put IE6 back into operation again, no problem:)

I now run IE7 Beta, again no problem but have known others curse it.

If you're not having a problem with it great run it. Others ran into problems trying to remove it that way. You may also downloaded a newer beta version with one or two problems fixed. I'm simply waiting for the final version to run it here again.

RC2 is currently the beta version out for over a week now. If there's a last service pack for XP like an SP3 that would include the finished version of IE 7. I ran RC1 here shortly. But the only real things that would were seeing working drivers were the beta versions for video and sound. Others that ran RC1 ran into the same thing when trying to get other programs installed.

The Final version of IE7 was released yesterday.

you can get from this thread

I'm downloading three copies of it at the moment. The run of it will be on the second drive for XP Pro currently running there. Let's see if the final version is worth it. The beta as usual was removed fast when there were some problems seen. But that's common with the stripped down versions of anything lately. The latest beta of FireFox froze right up upon trying to open anything. :(
