Internet connection with Router and modem

Hello,

i'm having some problems with a DSL Router (it disconnects while surfing pages), so i'm trying to find a solution.

Now i can connect to the Internet with the USB Modem and keep the router ON without connection... So, the PC wich has got the USB modem can go to the internet, and the others are able to communicate inside the LAN thanks to the router, but they don't have the Internet connection.

Is there a way to give to all computers an internet access with the router + modem?

Bye, and sorry for my english

First run the network setup wizard on each of the computers. For the one that can connect to the internet, do what you did before. As for the other ones, click the option that says "This computer connects through another computer or a residential gateway to the internet" or something along those lines. That may help you :)

Hi,

for the one that connect to the internet, i've selected "The computer is directly connected to the Internet. The others computer are connected through this computer" and for the other one, i've selected "Connect to the internet through another computer"... But now, how can this computer know the address of the computer that is able to connect?

Thanks

But they are not connected through another computer, they are connected through a router... All computer should be setup to connect directly through the internet... all they see is a renewing ip...

correct me if im wrong he is saying all the computers are linked via a router...The usb modem is hooked up to a computer not directly to the router...so infact he is accessing the internet through another computer!
