Right, I think this is in the right topic, just correct me if im wrong. Anyways when Im downloading updates for games my computer goes very slow. I was on WOW a bit ago and the hour took me hours, I asked how long it took the other guys. The guy had roadrunner internet and he had a E machine, not upgraded just a decent E machine. I have DSL and mine still takes forever. Is my problem my internet card?

I beleive cable is faster than DSL for the most part. Plus it depends on what service you have. If you have the cheapest DSL service and your friend has the most expensive cable service, there will be an obvious difference.

Also, your PC has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with your internet speed. I've had a 66MHz computer on cable before. It worked just fine, all things considered

yes it does??? Your computer can only process so much information at once, internet just adds to teh computing process just like videocards and soundcards and such do
