you really should just offer it for free if you want to get rid of it. Its not even good enough for people looking to make a cheap system for basic stuff. Last I used a 700mhz processor was like 8 years ago. Slowest that anyone might be looking for now and that you might get a little money for is maybe a 2ghz single core.

You can use the processor with Linux and it'll be lightning-fast...just really can't do a lot with it, but it's good enough for a server or Internet browsing.
Remember, at one point in time, it used to suit all of our needs as well.
Now we do so much with computers it's crazy!
Yeah, still its pretty much worthless these days though, even it you put linux on it its still super old, and not really worth much at all.

It'd be a good processor though for someone's first computer or someone on a tight budget...I would definitely install Linux and use it for web browsing if I had the parts laying around.

you're missing the point. no one cares what it is worth to you when they are looking at buying a CPU from you.
I didn't say that. I said it's not worth much..I'm just saying it is still worth a little something, maybe 5 bucks. You can still use it.. >_<;
ya but when something was worth maybe $200 brand new and is now only worth $5, its now basically worthless. Even if it is unused and in its original packaging your still gonna struggle finding anyone who wants it for more then free, atleast nobody is gonna use it for its intended purpose. You may find a taker on ebay but I guarantee there not going to be putting the cpu to use in a computer.
