the thing is I;m hope to record my old casstle tapes on my computer,
I can't found a place to post this, so I hope I have put it in the reight place

1st: is there a pace of softwave that can recorde sounds without using a micrphone, like if you listern a something on your pc you want clean vison of something,

2nd: what the place way of recording cattles tapes into a newer format like Mp3 or wavs?

3rd: will I need a sound card for the above action,

I have onboard sounds form my mother broad But I;am Planing to get a New sound card shorlty ::D

thansk for that,

someone has said to me that it shoudl be possblie to do in house recoreding? is it possblie without a mirco phone so you can do it to ANY format> ?

well.. sorta.

you'd need some good music software (my band uses adobe audtion aka cool edit pro).. but without a good mixer, it might come out like crap.

you can experiment.. if the cassette player has an audio out, put it in the microphone plug on your sound card. then through something such as adobe audition, you could record to the sound card and save it as a higher res.. all depends on the quality of your tapes though.

I'd recommend a better soundcard, but you can always try.

adobe audition can output to mp3, wav, flac, ogg, whatever format you need.

hope this helps!

Im just guessing you can take the steros line out and plug it into your computer's line in, that should allow you to record...right?

Yes, but the quality may not come out that great.
