My grandmother recently picked up this iMac g3 slot-load with it's original keyboard and hockey puck mouse for $10.00 thinking that it would be great for my younger cousins.
It does have OSX On it but only version 10.3 I did get netscape version 9.0.0.1 to work along with flash player 9.0.0.115 it did come pre loaded with something called kid pix which appears to be a drawing program and microsoft office 2004 . It all appears to work well apart from the fact that i cant seem to find any software for it that my cousins (and my grandmother) will like.
Here are the rest of the specs:
400 MHz PowerPC G3 Processor
512 MB PC-100 RAM
10 GB Quantum Fireball HDD
CD Only (No Zip,Floppy Or DVD Drives)

Any Suggestions?

Thanks,
Jakob :D

A 400mhz cpu is probably your limiting factor here as many new software programes need 1ghz as a min. Other than that, not sure.

There's not much you can get for it honestly :(

There was some great stuff from OS 9, but I haven't seen anything for OS X that would run on that slow of a unit since.

BTW, fyi I started out on a similar model iMac :)

Yeah, It's Lime Green But Couldnt I Run Programs In Classic Mode? This Kid Pix Thing Runs In Classic...

Classic mode is OS 9, so you're good there. If you go into Settings>Startup Disk and choose OS 9, then it will be fairly fast, and there's some interesting programs to get for it. My personal favorite was Bugdom :D
