imac and ethernet card

i was just given a purple fruit flavored imac computer. it has a built in modem .is there a way i can use a ethernet card from one of my pc's in this imac. i want to use my high speed connection on this imac. just for the fun of it and let my 6 year old grand daughter use it.

Do you have a wireless router in your house? If so i would buy a USB wireless adapter that is compatible with that MAC OS and then you should be all set.

I think I could help a lot more if I could know what generation it is, if it's running OS X could you tell me what the processor speed is? If you don't know how to do this, follow these instructions.


Once it is started up click on the little Apple Symbol on the top left.

After that click on About this Mac on the drop-down menu

Then tell me the processor speed
