im not sure what your talking about. but if this helps when i plug the power supply in to the outlet it will light up orange which means standby. but when i flip the switch it goes off. the light is suppose to be green when its on?

ok now im getting a little bit of life. but i dont think its good. when i press the on button the fans will spin for a split second and the split second the fans turn the light changes to green. but then goes right back to orange and no life again. like its flickering.

ok i got it to turn green and my computer starts up. but now what disk do i put in firt.? my windows disk? everything i put in the drive it says disk boot failur. try again and press enter.

i put the windows vista disk in and press enter but it still tells me disk boot failure. insert system disk and press enter.

Well, does your BIOS post? Make sure everything is correct in the BIOS. Make sure to get back to us. Also, on a side note, take a picture of our monitor once in the BIOS and then take a picture of the screen and what it's saying after you put the boot disk in.

heres the 2 screens. im not sure what you mean by bios though

BIOS is the VERY first screen you see, generally, it will say "Press Delete to Enter Setup" or some relevant key. It generally has your motherboard's manufacturer logo when you see it. I'll find my camera and show you...

ok i got what you mean it comes up for a sec. but when i press boot from cd rom it tells me the same thing about boot disk failure insert sytem disk.bla bla bla.

Hmmm....well i couldn't find my camera so I'm sorry about that. But you should check your media drive (CD/DVD) and your hard drive. Make sure it's all connected properly and go into your BIOS, make sure it's reading it. Then, make sure you select "Boot from DVD/CD drive" in your boot disk priority.

thats the thing i dont know. i dont know what its suppose to look like so i cant really check it. i dont really know how my harddrive and cd drive is suppose to be connected.

Well is your hard drive IDE or SATA? Your motherboard manual will give you directions on how to install those properly. When it doubt..turn to the manual. :)

my ide is connected correctly but i dont have anything plugged into my sata. i have wires that plug to my motherboards sata but where does the other end go?
