I got a wireless Double 108 mbps NETGEAR router... hooked up to a Cable Modem

All I want to do is set up a great network (with ur help) and be able to

what you want to do is not hard. simply go to start -> control panel -> network and internet connections -> nework setup wizard. do this on all computers. THE NETWORK NAME MUST BE THE SAME ON ALL COMPUTERS. once you have done this let me know and i will tell you whats next. its not hard at all. if you have a printer you can share that too. (if you want to tell me what kind of printer it is and if it had a cat5 port on the back of it)

OK thank u for responding.... when i go to network setup wizard.. which one do i choose ... there are like 2 options and 1 more that says "More" .... Could u tell me which one i should choose for each computer.

Ok...now

I've done what you said... I Started up Windows Explorer and clicked on the drive or folder I wanted to share and chose "Sharing and Security" in all computers and enabled it in all computers.
I chose the second option ( i wish i was right.) because i gueesed that the gateway would be my router .... I wanted to ask you which one i should choose b4 i chose it ...but i just wanted to give it a try.

Well....i did this in
1) my desktop computer which is connected directly to the router.....
2) My bro's desktop which is connected to the router with an adapter...
3) my mom's laptop which also has an adapter.

My computer could see my bro's computer but when i click on the computer's name...it tells me that the computer is not accessible

My mom's computer cannot even access the workgroup.

I dont think the setup would make any difference but ... idk what to do ... LOL... maybe i should just give up

On your moms computer, are you sure you put in the same exact workgroup name, just run the wizard again. also restart all your pc's. make sure they are all on when trying to access them. Do any of them have firewalls?

Yes i named them all MSHOME.... i've got firewalls (NORTON) but norton warns u when there's a connection... if there's not a connection it doesn't do anything... I tried it with disabling it...but it still would not work :-/
