muy project for the last few summers is to get songs from my computer/itunes to be able to play my itunes music outide by our pool on one of our many boom boxes...

ive looked at many wireless hi fi stuff on amazon and it seems there are no systems out here only for steaming or wirelessly playing my itunes music (5GB of it) outside so i can have a beer and listen to my music.

I guess another old stle way would be trying to find an extension cable for the speakers so i could have them closer to the window!!

i live with my sister and my dad (moms in hospital and brother in england). i sometimes grab a chair just below my window and try to belt the music out of the speakers while i grab a beer...we live in the country so no one would hear it...actually ive tried getting the speakers to the window but i can hardly hear it no matter what...all i need is

some sort of wireless usb thing that would work with itunes
and something to receive it and plug into my stereo or hook in on the aux jack. my stereo is a JVC cd and tape boom box and doesnt have any ports or any yellow white cable inputs...its the old wire type red and black input so it would have to be a cable to plugin the aux input

anyone got any ideas on how to make this happen and how others who are in this idea to help them...

Not too familiar in that sort of hardware but it would seem to me that if you had a laptop you could network and have iTunes running on that computer. However I understand there's some sort of licensing issues when you purchase music through the iStore. Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not an apple fan. But I think networking on a laptop would get the job done and you could hook up your stereo to that depending on the outputs on the laptop and the inputs on the stereo. OR if you have an iPod, you could load all your music on that and use one of those fancy iHome devices.

What about getting some outdoor speakers and hooking those up to a receiver connected to a laptop? You could get a wireless receiver for the laptop so you could use a remote and everything and as mentioned above, itunes lets you network an account with multiple machines so you dont have to worry about licensing issues.
