no, just improves the sound quality at the output, a good idea if you want some nice sound to yourself, grab some good quality headphones, i recommend sennheiser.

ic ic, thanks for the info, i have the beat pros, which i basically only paid 50 dollars (worth 400-450) so i think ill use those if i want to get ear orgasms.
