I had an idea, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in this:
Craigslist is a great place to find good deals. I check my local craigslist at least daily, and I've gotten some really great deals from time to time. Occasionally I'll check nearby Craigslists, and I'll find a good deal, but it's not really worth driving for, and most people are hesitant to ship their item.
I was thinking that if anyone was interested, they could post their local Craigslist. If someone finds something that they're interested in, the local person could go pick it up for them. They would get reimbursed for the item, plus shipping.
Maybe we could work out a credit system. You would start with three credits, and when you have someone pick something up for you, you give them a credit. If you pick something else up for someone, you get a credit from them. That way, people couldn't abuse it, only buying things and never picking up anything locally.
What do you think?
