I/O shield from Ebay

Today I bought an I/O shield for one of my motherboards in one of my computers which I didn't have the correct shield for. It cost $13.99 and came from the Netherlands. The transaction took place in San Jose. I thought this was a rather high price to pay for an I/O shield. I imagined they might cost around a dollar at most. Is this a commonly accepted price for an I\O shield?

The convenience for a specific part on a product that is likely fairly low volume and pretty niche is going to cost you a bit more than just what it cost to produce.

$14 really isn't that bad considering its a necessary and specific part for a, more than likely, old/obsolete product now... I'd say its a decent purchase all things considered.

I dunno, I've gotten full functioning motherboards from Microcenter for less than that ;)

As stated you'll be gouged since it's a bit of a niche part. It's crazy to me how many people just lose it or don't return the box with the shield in there. I hate the gaping hole that exists if you mount a board without one.

I'm not sure I care for that tone, young man..

I got the I/O shield yesterday and installed it. It just snapped in. No problem. Now my recently downloaded copy of WIN 10 on that computer wouldn't boot.

Check to make sure none of the tabs on the I/O port are going into your usb ports or eithernet port or other ports for that matter. This sometimes happens, I've done it myself years ago without watching what I doing.
