i need an external soundcard can you help me

i have a desktop computer that i am selling and am getting a laptop and need an external sound card for it cause my dads laptop integrated soundcard sucks and i dont think there is anything else on a laptop but integrated unless you buy an external one

what brands are good and it can be pcmia slot or a external one
