i have no volume

just reformatted, cant get volume. i have all the codecs and the sound drivers seem to be working according to device manager. the error message i get from media player is "may be a problem with sound or video device, try installing a new device driver". I am using onboard sound, which worked before reformat. Any help is greatly appreciated,thanks

your right, i need should go to the hp website for drivers, i don't know why i couldnt think of such an obvious solution. Ill try it out, thanks a lot

actually that didnt work. I even installed all in one codec and realtek drivers. I finally gave up and just reinstalled windows for the second time, it worked after that. Thanks for the help.
