I have 7.1 Speakers, but my sound card only has basic stereo...

would buying a 7.1 sound card help make my speakers sound better?:confused:

i am mainly concerned about it helping my sub.:cool:
 
they are insignia. i think there like best buy store brand speakers and i dont even have a sound card i think its just my motherboard.
 
Are the speakers 2.1, 5.1, 7.1?..whats the model number from them?So we know what exact speakers we are dealing with.

See you could buy a dedicated sound card,But if your speakers are trash then it would not be worth it.
 
Well, if you had a sound card with a definable EQ that would do wonders. My realtek on board has this and it helps sooooooo much. Also, the placement of the sub will hinder it a little if not placed in a good spot. Usually corners work best because you get +3db (give or take) from each wall it's next to, but dont sit it touching the walls, give it some breathing room to resonate properly. Hope this helps
