Hia everyone! i think i deleted my soundcard because the music is not working! there is no music or sound throughout the whole computer! how can i make it work again? Is there anythink i can do ? :(

do you have the cd that came with your soundcard? if you do, put it in your computer and install it again.

is there a small grey speaker icon in the right end of the taskbar?
if so, double click te icon, and see if the volume isnt completely down, or that the sound is muted. :)

If by delete you mean took it out and threw it in the trash...

Don't be so literal, You know he wasn't. I'm pretty sure he means by deleting drivers/directory.

I wouldn;t be suprised if he did indeed though he "edleted" it, not everyone is computer literal, incase that is the case, It's impossible to delte a soundcard.

blue, you cant expect him to just tell you all that stuff, if he thinks he deleted a sound card, then i dont think he would know how to find all that info on his comp.

Tell me what? His system specs? Actually I do yes :). now I know many come here that don't have a clue as to what the computers specs are that sit right in front of them. I do however assume though that if they come here looking for help rather then run to a tech. then they must be willing to learn. And this is a bit annoying now as your the second person to assume that the guy thinks he deleted his sound card. We don't know that for fact and I feel he might just think he deleted the directory of which things are installed. For an example C:\Program Files\Creative - deleted.

When we start making assumptions then our advice is not worth anything. Its also important that a person gives us more information like the system specs so that we can have this to go by when lending advice.

Here you tell him to install drivers for his sound card which you don't even know whether he needs. He might just have his sound muted for all we know. You also failed to mention to him that he cannot delete his sound card. Anyhoot I can and do certainly expect him to tell me his system specs if I'm willing to lend advice as it is my intent to try and help.

you also mad an assumption, that he didn't think so, and i enevr said he did, i said maybe he did and if it was the case, and many of my friends dont have a CLUE what the specs of their PC's are.

what also may be useful is if he comes online and answers the questions that we've asked him. What i think happened is that the sound card is disabled, which is why he cant hear any sound.

First off... My assumption had to be made for my explanation (and I knew some dork would point that out). All I did was ask him to read the questions 101 thread so that we may help him further.

As for many of your friends not knowing what the specs of their PC's are why don't you educate them then? Do you people not understand that for 99% questions asked we cannot make an intelligent recommendation because we don't know the specs? Do you folks actually think that My asking for specs all the time is a waste of time? should we ask Praetor to remove his questions 101? I think personally they need to be in every section.

Please don't point out my assumption because I'm way to smart for that. Also Please don't tell me I'm waisting my time asking the questions that I do because I'll continue asking them long after your gone. I come here Soley to help people and I don't need folks like you peeing up my tree. Also If you are to respond again I would expect you do so by PM because we have made a large enough mess out of this thread and I would not be surprised if we all get told soon enough.

what also may be useful is if he comes online and answers the questions that we've asked him.

Some people find this site by searching the web, they ask a question and continue searching sometimes never returning. Also there is a slight possibility he comes sees all of us dorks messing up his thread and moved on.

Italian Stalian I'm sorry you thread became a mess. Please Don't let this detour you from seeking advice in the future. Also If your still having sound trouble then I'm sure there are many happy to help. I does help us though If you leave your system specs. This lets us know if you have a sound card or onboard sound (built onto motherboard) etc. we can then help point you into the direction of installing new and proper drivers or something else.
