I can't set up my wireless network

Hi all, you've probably answered this question hundreds of times before and if there is a thread that answers my question please point me there.

I just connected up a D-Link DI-624+ wireless router to my broadband internet and can't get my 802.11b/g wireless on the laptop to pick up the internet.

I'm running WinXP Pro

This is what i've done.

1. run the 192.168.0.1 router setup connection via ethernet
2. Enabled my Wireless connection

Now this is where I get stuck, what should I do next? I've had a look at heaps of settings and all and i'm not sure where to turn.
I found this checkbox, "Use Windows to configure my Wireless network settings" and i've tried it with it ticked and not ticked with no luck.

Can someone please run throught the config steps

Thanks

In Control Panel's Network Connections, you are going to choose, create a home network. You are then going to follow the onscreen instructions, choosing a workgroup and everything. When it asks you what connection you would like to use, choose the wireless connection.

I fixed the problem, I just rang the D-LInk helpline. The only thing I have to sort out now is a problem with the wep.

I'll post this in a new topic

Glad to hear you got er going... It's somtimes nice to add how you got it going for other visiters so that they may be able to fix thier problems without the need to post.

I would have definetly done it but to tell you the truth, the helpline went over that much stuff trying to troubleshoot it that I can't even remember what I did. God forbid if I have to set it up agian.

In regard to the WEP question I had, I ended up solving this issue and posted what I did in another thread.

Cheers
