I can't connect my etec wireless adsl modem/router

Hi, I've currently got my pc connected to wanadoo broadband via a speedtouch usb modem. I've bought a etec wireless adsl modem router as I want to connect my laptop at the same time, but I cant get it all connected up. I conneced up the LAN cable from pc to router and the cable from the ADSL point to the WAN socket on the router. All is connected, but the PC does't pick up the router and I can't connect to wanadoo broadband anymore.
Has anyone out there got an idiots guide to doing this as I'm really stuck
