I am a noob with routers- am I DSL?

I'm about to buy a router but I'm unsure as to which my current Internet connection is.

I'm on 100Mbps on a LAN. My modem - 'Motorola SB5100'
I connect using 'Compaq NC3120 Fast Ethernet NIC'

Someone help!

No, Cable and DSL are different, but both are high speed and compatible with routers...

As long as your modem has an ethernet port on it, basically any router should work just fine with it.

Yeah, that should work fine and dandy. Hook it up to the cable modem and connect all your pc's and laptops through the router and they should all be up and running in no time. It looks like a good product too, not sure how that converts to USD, but I'm sure it's a great price.

Hmm..., that actually looks a little expensive. Right format, no question, just look around a little more, should be able to find that for cheaper... (I can find it for that price in USD with just in store savings, so it's gotta be cheaper somewhere else, unless the pound has become really de-valued )
