i love making html's, but i have no way of making them available to others over the internet.

I have dsl, a computer that can run some kind of software (win98) and one that i can insatll an server OS

You need to have some type of http server software. I would recomend apache http server.

You will also need a static IP. Most ISP's are dynamic, but will give you a static IP for a little extra per month. Once you get Apache installed and configured, you can either access the website by typing in your IP in the browser or by registering your IP with a domain name so that you can have a real www.blahblahblah.com address.

Web hosting is also pretty cheap and might be another option. You'd just FTP to the server and upload your files.

not true.. you can use a dynamic host updater... i know www.no-ip.com is free for a ip redirect. :P

nice. I had never seen that before. Altho I think it's still cheaper the pay for a static IP through my ISP
