HP Scanjet 4370 buttos problem

I've just bought a new scanner: HP Scanjet 4370. And I already have a problem! Front panel buttons don't work! Otherwise, it works just fine.

Can anyone please help me?

I took it back to the shop. They've installed it's software on their computer, and it worked perfectly!

Probably some settings in my windows aren't the way they should be, and it would work if I change them. But, where should I start?

p.s. I’m using Windows XP SP2
 
SP2 have some compatability issues with certain software, firmware.. make sure that your HP can work with SP2.

Other than that, are there any installation errors when installing? If its not one of the new printers right off the market that you just bought or anything.. go to HP's site and see if there is anupdated firmware for the softwares/unit.
