If you are going to use these printers for industrial purposes, I will give you fair warning

Thanks for the link, refresher! It is very useful and will definitely help me the next time I have problems with the printer. I already bought the printer; it came as a package with my HP laptop. It's for personal use only.

On the promotion paper, it stated that this HP printer model F4180 comes with the laptop as a package. However, I was given the C3135 model printer when I bought the laptop. They both the same price. The only differences that I know of between the 2 models are:

The C3135 has the memory card slots and was released more than 6 months ago.
The F4180 model has no memory card slots and was released this June.
The C3135 has no preview screen on the printer, so the card slots are useless to me.

But, I just don't know which of the 2 is better quality. I am thinking to switch for the F4180 just because it's recently released as compared to the other one which released more than 6 months ago. Any suggestions?

I would use the C3135, it uses the 92/93 combo of cartridges versus the 21/22 cartridges. Page yield break-down:

21 - 190 pages ($15)
22 - 165 pages ($18)

92 - 210 pages ($15)
93 - 210 pages ($20)

So if you got the C3135, keep it, but if you're going to buy a new printer I wouldn't go with a printer that uses either of these cartridges combos anyway, they're just not very efficient. Oh, and the difference in features really isn't huge, and I'd go with the one with the card readers anyway...

I was thinking about your situation some more, and if you are looking around the $100 mark, the C4280 is another printer for $100 that has even better cartridges than the other two. Especially if you get the XL versions of the 74 and 75 cartridges.

I have the C3135 and I like it. Now if your going to be printing a lot of photos this thing will suck up the ink but for me and school and just printing out pages and stuff it works great and surprisingly prints pretty fast. I got my printer from a guy on another forum ( a mac forum ) and he got it for Christmas and didn't have any use for it so he sold it to me for $65 shipped and it came with cartridges and all the software and manuals and it is really easy to set up. In a matter of probably 5 minutes you can have the software installed and it tell you how to do scanning, copying and all other stuff.
