HP Officejet 6500A Scanner - Distorted Line

Hi,

I have HP Officejet 6500A All-In-One, it has a Automatic Document Feeder. When I scan my documents; at the end of every document, I there is a distorted line around an inch and a half from the end of the page and then the page looks fine again. Sorry if I haven't explained this correctly but if anyone has any idea of how to fix this, please let me know. I can also give any extra information required! Thanks

Make sure there isn't something on the scanner (ie: a scratch or crack), also, look in the settings for possibly calibrating the scanner.

actually I have a question: When you are scanning, is the resulting distorted line on a physical sheet of paper(you made a copy) or on the digital image on your computer??

Grr!!

The image is on my laptop! Its extremely annoying!

I checked it for scratches and what not but none there! I don't know what to do. I know its not something to do with a damaged screen because if there was a scratch, it would show it on the full image! Do you gte me??
