How to use system recovery on the disk?

You have recovery disks that contain the operating system on them?If that's the case, use them to reinstall your operating system, but NOTE THAT IT WILL COMPLETELY FORMAT YOUR HDD!So start by booting of the first recovery disk.Usually thats the SYSTEM disk.

ADVICE: Reinstalling the operating system using recovery disks is easy, but not the best way of doing it.

Cheers computerforum members! :P

I don't think it's the operation system, it just says on the CD which I bought with the computer "Recovery Disc 1&2." Just written with marker. And what do you mean by not the best way of doing it?

Disk 1 contains: BOOT(folder), EFI(folder), GAIA(folder), IMAGES(folder), SOURCES(folder), ACERBOOT_FOLDER.TAG, BOOTMGR, RCD.DAT, Restore.dat

Disk 2 contains: IMAGES(folder), Patch(folder), RCD2.DAT, Restore.dat

Hi Friend,
• Find your recovery CD / DVD that should have come with your computer, and insert it into your CD / DVD drive.
• Restart your computer.
• Press "r" on the first screen you see when you turn on your computer. This should bring up a boot menu, select CD / DVD drive
• Allow for the computer to load the CD / DVD.
• Select "recovery" once it loads. This should give you warnings about you losing everything on your computer.
• Accept the terms and conditions. Once done, it should start the process of recovery.
• Leave your computer until the process is done.

Thanks,
James
