In Windows 7, How do I screen shot the page? I have tried the PrtSc button and nothing. Is there a program that I need for it?

In windows 7 just hit print screen then ctrl v to paste it somewhere to use it, like in paint, word, or an email.

EDIT: I am not sure why everyone keeps giving different directions for this...the answer is hit printscreen, then paste it....no alt, no ctrl...I do it alllll day long at work with W7 trust me ha

I just press the printscreen button and then paste it into IrfanView.

Alt + printscreen does just the open window.

PrtSc -> Control + V (in the photo editing program of your choice)

Alternately, you can just click Paste in the File menu.

Hi,
How do I screen shot with Windows XP?

If you want only the active window, press Alt-print screen
or if you want the whole screen then press print screen.

Then open paint and press ctrl-v and it will appear in paint. Save the picture as a jpg.

First, thank you so much for your prompt response.

Pardon my ignorance, but I sure do know where to find "Alt" but where do I find "print screen"?
