how to run multiple sessions on a single machine

Hi,

I have a few custom-built applications that must run continuously (24/7).

Currently, I’m using dedicated laptops for each application, but this setup takes up too much space and isn’t practical in the long run.

I’m exploring alternatives to replace the multiple laptops—perhaps a desktop where I can run various sessions independently for each application.

Please recommend the best option (desktop/operating system) and suggest any software required to manage individual sessions?
