How to log on to Computer from another area

I will be going on Vacation soon and in the Hotel there are computers,how does one log on

Logon to what? Shared computers will usually be at the desktop and you won't have access to shut down or restart the system. From there you can access the internet or whatever.

If you want to access your home computer from a remote location (if that's what you mean) you can use LogMeIn or TeamViewer.
