Thats why i said it would be helpful to know the site, if its a forum then i'd say you should talk to the admin of the forum. But if its some other site then you could try a proxy.Blue said:Anyway the way you get back onto a site that you have been banned from is to contact a moderator or even better Administrator at that site and request that they unban you. Other then that I honestly feel the question should go unanswered.
That doesnt work if you have a static IP that never changes.Jerkstore said:unplug your modem for 30-60 seconds and plug it in again
your ISP should assign you an new IP address, thus avoiding the IP ban
if they banned your username, then tough luck
The IP address is assigned by the modem, not the computer.shupola said:you could just buy a new computer.......this should give you a new ip address. its not very cost effective though, and i know that i would never do that to get back onto a forum. just a thought.

Your probably thinking of the LAN IP, every computer has a different one, but all the computers on your LAN are hooked up to your modem, which has an IP address. If you really want to change your IP call up your ISP and ask them to change it for you.shupola said:well, i use the same modem for my new system as i did for my laptop and they have different ip's at least to the best of my knowledge.
but if you are correct, that could be the answer........buy a new modem
