How to deal with the new Windows 11 IDs with VeraCrypt created on older versions of Windows.

I'm not running windows 11 atm. But I'm wondering how people are dealing with large encrypted volumes and these new Windows 11 IDs?

If you create new VC volumes under Windows 11, and want to transfer older volume backups to Win11, it's my understanding that after you copy the old folder/files to new update VC volumes, you'll most likely need to reset ownership permissions and inheritance to avoid access issues.

AI mentioned that you can use icacls in CMD or PowerShell to do this. But I'm thinking: the likelihood of running into issues on large volumes - specially if you have an interruption of some kind seems like a nightmare. How long would it take for all the changes for icacls to take ownership of all file/folders on a 4TB drive? Being that icacls can't verify permissions, I'm wondering if anyone can recommend open source 3rd party tools that can actually read the changes and verify that the permissions on each folder and file was changed properly? We're talking hundreds of thousands and millions of files on large drives. I would hope that Microsoft would put something into the OS to do this, but I'm not holding my breath.
