hello everyone

I would like to know how to become good computer technician no studies no school just from home.

well I know how to format PC under WIN XP, Vista 7 OS and install drivers (I use some driver pack, like driver pack 2013 or cobra, driver genius ..., something like that) but sometimes I have problems to find some drivers for some pcs, like display driver HD.

and I manage to get paid programs for free (like IDM...Power DVD... etc. -crack and patch I know how to install crack when I have the crack and so on)
I have an averge knowledge how to troubleshoot, and i always format pcs for my friends and family they think im good.

so If you do have any tips, or videos on youtube that show me how to become better technician I would really appreciate that smile.gif

Cracks are not discussed on the forum and knowing how to crack software and pirate is not cool. Anyways, you just need to learn. Look at all the guides around the forum, look around all the computer forums and blogs and like everybody else you will learn more. Oh, and isn't that username a reference to WWE? My siblings watch it and talk about booyaka so yeah but maybe I'm wrong lol :D

First thing you need to do to become a good computer repairer is dump all the cracked and torrented stuff, cracks always eventually get caught out, it is bad enough doing that on your own pc, but if you sell or repair a pc for a customer and later software gets caught as not genuine they will just report it to the police and your in a heap of trouble.

As far as the actual work goes to learn how to physically build a machine there are loads of videos on youtube try to find videos from professional companies rather than individuals that way you don`t watch a video full of rubbish from an amateur.

Also drop the driver packs unless you are really struggling for really old drivers for ancient systems, always download the drivers specific for the system your are working on.

The main drivers you always need are.

Motherboard drivers from their website

Graphics drivers usually either, nvidia, amd or intel hd

Audio drivers usually realtek ac97 or realtek hd audio, but can be others

Pretty much just build your own gear for a few times. Quote appropriately - id suggest cost plus labour.

Don't use shitty psus.

As others have said, you need to learn how to do things the correct way. Drop the cracks and driver packs and learn how to find and download the proper drivers from the various manufacturer's websites. Far less chance of getting trojans or malware.

Best way to learn is to do. If you need to watch tutorial videos then you can find them out there but most are pretty basic since building a PC is not rocket science.

When you say you know how to format various OSes, I assume you mean that you have experience installing them. Installing an OS is a pretty basic task but a tech does need to know how to do that.

Have you setup a network using a Workgroup or a Homegroup? You really need to learn how to do that. If you have a couple of machines available, try networking them together.

And if you are thinking about this to make extra cash, stay legal. They're already a bunch of shady characters out there already. That way they will be coming back to you for their repairs or a new system. If you didn't pay for it, your a thief or a pirate. There are plenty of free programs out there to use. Or you can suggest programs that your customers can get.

Trust me...you are far away from being good.Installing an operating system and drivers is the BASIC of the basics.

Like others said...you need to learn how to find proper drivers instead of using driver packs.I always hated driver packs for obvious reasons by the way lol :D

Also like others said...you should learn about the hardware...learn what each part of the hardware does and what it is used for.
After that learn how to build a computer from the parts you have wether they are old parts from trash or brand new.Learn both.
I made tons of computers from trashy parts and they all work like a charm.

Also learn how to fix hardware (if it's possible to be fixed with the tools you have). If not then buy the neccessary tools when you get money once you get to this part of the study.

After you have FINALLY learnt the hardware, you can move to the software area.

Software area is huge...so...first start by installing simple programs and learning how to fix problems which are very common...wether they are OS related or related to specific software or both OR EVEN MORE.

Learn about virus security.
Learn about data security.
Learn about data recovery.

After you have FINALLY learnt a LOT LOT LOT about the software THEN you can finally move to PROGRAMMING and creating your own software and making it functional and being able to sell it and earn money on it.

NOTE: Programming and making good software is NOT an easy task like many people think (those who think that are usually not programmers lol).Because you must have a lot of knowledge from things before in order to be able to CREATE,TEST,FIX BUGS (if any),OPTIMIZE and finally FINALIZE the software for sell...plus a LOT more.I just made it as short as I possibly could.

I must admit that PROGRAMMING is my favorite section of ALL. :D

Of course you want to be good computer technician so you do not need to know how to create nice software if you don't want to.

thank you everyone for your time to reply to my post you really enlightened me
you are the best guys thank you very much
