Hi all!

Is there a way that I can remove the black diamond in the picture below?:

This is a screenshot of my Gmail page on my Windows 11 desktop.

When you hover over it does it say Gemini? If so, you'll need to disable it through google. It's not on mine.

There are several ways to disable Gemini, including:

Turn off Gemini Apps Activity

Go to gemini.google.com

Click Activity
Click Turn off near the top
Select Turn off or Turn off and delete activity

Disable Gemini access to Google apps

Go to your Google Account settings

Navigate to the Security section
Locate Gemini under connected apps
Disable Gemini

Turn off Gemini for Google Cloud products

Go to the Admin for Gemini page in the Google Cloud console

Click Purchased products
Select the applicable billing account
Click Continue to the Admin for Gemini page
Select the Gemini subscription you want to turn off
Click Turn Off, then Confirm

Cancel Gemini for Google Workspace

Cancel your subscription

If you're on a monthly Flex Plan, canceling immediately stops further billing
If you're on an Annual/Fixed-Term Plan, you're still responsible for the full value of the commitment if you cancel before the contract is over

You can review your prompts, delete your Gemini Apps activity, and turn off Gemini Apps Activity in My Activity at any time.

Thanks you two! I do not have a subscription to Gemini and I don't want one. That's why I was focussing on the icon only with my question. So, is there a way that I can just get rid of that black diamond icon WITHOUT having to deal with Gemini at all?

It's 1:47PM here and I will be leaving at 3PM for the weekend. If you reply to this after 3PM I will get back to you on Monday.

Thanks johnb35,

I will check out your link and gget back to you. My reply may or not be tomorrow as I have a doctor appoinment.

Hi johnb35!

I looked over the link you gave me, but only one pertained to what I could do. One was about doing this on a phone, but the icon I want to remove is on my desktop. Another had instructions that didn't didn't relate to my PC. But, I did Email Google Chrome and asked them to give me back my right to remove something they added if I didn't want it. So, we'll see how that goes.
