How do i Connect laptop to my broadband

Hi just bought a compaq laptop does any body at all know the best way of connecting my laptop to my computers broadband
Iv been told a PCMCIA to WIFI card is this right and were could i get one from cheap any links out there thanks

I also have a caravan at the east coast and have bought my laptop to work over there if i need to if i buy a PCMCIA to WIFI card will this still connect to my home internet or someone elses or will it not work

If you get wifi, you need to have a wifi router/access point at you're house so you can actually share teh connection. If you don't, just get a regular wired card(assuming you don't have one)

And no, wifi only has a range of a few 1000 feet(tipically less, all depends on antennas and such) Now you might be able to find an access point while in florda and jump on someone else's network. I've done with with my PDA while I've been out.

How would i be able to connect a sharp gx10 then through infared and have a connection through that????

I dont know how to set up a connection does any 1 know how would i just use my normal internet account details (username + password)
