How can my check my soundcard if its 7.1 or other??

download everest free and tell us what sound card/onboard audio you have.

I have a Sigmatel HD Audio Codec

Just count how many ports you have where you plug in your sound and say if there is 6 there it will be 6.1. 1 Sound card and 6 ports in that sound card.
