To do this you use a "Remote DESKTOP" or "VNC" program, which needs o be installed on each computer..., the one you are sitting at and the one you want to connect to.

Some versions of windows come with this software like n Windows XP Profesional, where it is located at Start\AllPrograms\Accessories\Communications\RemoteDesktop

There are also many other programs available that will do this, some you have to pay for and others are free.

At work i use "Symantec PC Anywhere" to connect to other computers on our network and to dial-in to computers in other states/suburbs.

Symantec's PC Anywhere is an excellent program for remote controlling another computer. Only problem is that it costs $100 or thereabouts, but if you have the money, I'd definitely go with that...

Yeah Remote Admins not to bad... i used it at home for a while between my WinXP and my old Win2k PC and found it quite easy to use, also very small install. Don't use them at home anymore thou.

I just bought 3 more copies of PC Anywhere a week ago for work... i'm just glad i dont have to foot the bill. had looked at buying just the 'Remote' licences but they only sell them in a minimum of 10 at AU$140ea  hence why we just bought the full version instead.
