Hosting company

it doesnt take much at all, to start an average one, you can do it with a $30 a month reseller account. There are tonnes and tonnes of hosting companies out there, it takes quite a bit more resources to start a good web hosting company. You would need some sort of software to automate the billing and setting up of accounts, something like whmautopilot.com or modernbill.com
You would need some sort of payment processing system like paypal or 2checkout.com
Some sort of help desk software.

Thanks. Its just one of those crazy ideas I get in my head maybe its a stupid idea. After reading you post and thinking about it you are right. There are a lot of companies out there, so if I were to do it I would need to do something to make me stand out from the rest. That would probably be customer service, but CS takes manpower which takes more money.
 
Well there are already too much hosting companys... it would be really hard to get people...

If you want to start one, get a server and start Shared Hosting.
