Hooking up different speakers to my Creative system...

Hi.
I just recently purchased a creative 5.1 speaker system, and I have a few questions that weren't answered by any of the literature contained with the package.
I was wondering what the ohm rating is for the speakers... ?
The reason being.. I'm running the front right and left channels into my home stereo (a panasonic system).. and I took the original front right and left speakers and connected them parrellel with the left and right rear speakers (so I have two speakers per left and right rear channel).
I couldn't find any ohm rating anywhere, and I was just wondering if this would overload anything. I know that it's usally not a problem with so little wattage.. but I just want to make sure.
Any info would be appreciated. :)
Thank you.

I could be wrong but I believe that usualy subs are like 4ohm while satelites are usualy 6ohm. not sure though perhaps if you google you'll find the info.

It usualy helps to have more information as creative 5.1 does not tell us what model your speakers are but rather just the manufacturer.
