Hooking Up Cell Phone to TV to Watch Youtube

Greetings.

My mother is frustrated with her cable provider's service. I want to be able to connect her cell phone to her TV so she can watch endless and FREE Youtube videos for entertainment.

Two important things though:

1.) Her TV is at least 10 years old and still has the old analog signal

2.) Her spare TV that I wish to do the connection on does NOT have cable on it. It's just a plain tv with regular channels.

Given these conditions, what, if any, kind of attachment can I buy so that she can watch Youtube videos on this TV.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe if everything was digital but,

1.) Her TV is at least 10 years old and still has the old analog signal

Kind of a dealbreaker if there's no HDMI. With the amount of effort and equipment you would rig to get something back to analog you could probably just buy a TV with the appropriate digital input and a Chromecast or similar.

You might be able to use something like a Raspberry Pi with it's RCA out as a cheap alternative to interface with the TV depending on what you want to do.

So you want to get rid of cable TV, but you're keeping the cable internet right? Why don't you connect a computer instead?

@ Geoff - I want to get rid of her Time Warner cable altogether as the price goes up every month and the service is horrific. She doesn't do computers and has no internet service. Took years to get her on a cell phone.

If you are using mobile data on the phone for YouTube, unless you have unlimited data you are going to go through data very quickly streaming video to a TV.
