hookin speakrs up to tv question?

i wanna hook up an amplifier (which has 2 speakers hooked up to it ith speaker wire) to my tv, but my tv has no composite audio out........it only has vidoe in

Is there a such thing as an adapter or something that can give you the composite audio out using composite A/V ports? Or I am just pushing my luck and need to buy a new tv?

So it has a/v ports? If it does, just go to radio shack or something and buy one of the composite a/v plugs with two solder tabe and make one....or, if you have an old a/v cable that you aren't using, cut it, strip it, and splice the end of it to the speaker wire.

actually, if you buy a reciever for a stereo, then you can plug your dvd player into the reciever or your cable box into the reciever, then you can hook up your speakers to the audio out on the reciever. Of course... it may be cheaper to buy a new tv, depending on the size ;)

yes... i thought about that...but what i have right now is A/V in, no A/V out....

is there anything i can do?
If you're brave enough. Open up the TV, find the speaker, and tap two wires on the speaker terminal, this two wires are the audio out which you can tap to the input of the amplifier. If this is a stereo TV, it will have 2 speakers (for left and right channel), and you have to do the same with the other speaker.
