Im working on building a simple home studio, and things are subject to change...but as for now, this is what I plan to be getting. This external sound card M-Audio Sound Card Along with these monitors M-Audio BX8 Moniters And then with this Subwoofer M-Audio SBX Sub. So heres my question...I looked at the manual for the sound card, and I see the line outputs for the moniters, and it has 4 output lines, so then would the 2 monitors and the sub each have there own output line, or how would that work? Thanks

Well first of all most home studios don't use a separate subwoofer, they present an inaccurate representation of what your creating. Now in order for all this stuff to work, you need some sort of amplifier/receiver. That external soundcard will not nearly create enough watts to power those 130watt speakers properly. If you have an amp of some sort then thats good, just run 1 of the line outs on the souncard to an input on the amp and hook the speakers up to the amp and your set.

It's not uncommon to see subwoofers in small studios such as he is building. With home theatre becoming more and more popular with separate subwoofers, it can help a lot in the recording process. A subwoofer will not create an inaccurate representation as long as it's placement is correct. He will not need and amp because those are powered speakers.

My mistake, they are powered. So instead you can just hook everything up to the line out ports on the external soundcard and it'll work fine.
