i have a wireless router in the basement of my house and my pc in my room using an external wireless receiver. i also have my fileserver in my room and a playstation 2. i want to connect the computers by a wired router in my room but use the one pc with wireless internet as a "wireless access point" so that i can get the internet on my ps2 and fileserver aswell. any suggestions?

Well, I'm not sure what you mean, but you can try POE (power over ethernet) what it does is you plug a wire to a computer, and the other side of the wire goes into a power plug (ex: a lamp plug, TV plug, etc) And at the router you plug a seprate cable to the router itself and the other end to a power plug. And then somehow your suppost to get a connection.

ummm, well if you you want to do 2 accesspoints on one network just set them to bridge mode if they support it.

Just turn the wireless portion of your router one, this is all you are looking for. These goofs above have no idea whats going on.
