Highlighting of original poster (OP)

Hi guys, any way you can tell within a deep thread, who is the original poster. It can be annoying and confusing to need to remember, especially when the thread can be 20 or 30 pages or longer.

I reckon if there is a way to have a small red 'OP' that automatically sits in the Profile Pane to indicate to all users that this person is the original poster.

See what i mean in the pic attached (near name in yellow cicle)

Just an idea :eek:

Its a good Idea.I would like that and also have the same problem where I have to open the 1st page in another tab to confirm who the OP is.

And I don't think that will be hard to implement.(I can be completely wrong about this since never dealt with web servers but my programming force guides me :D)

yeah but the point is, for simple implementation, it is better to not have to do that, especially when it can be 135 (14 pages) posts in, or when working with multiple threads.
 
Maybe this will work. On the right hand side you will see some tabs and one is display mode. try the switch to hybrid mode.

Excuse me? Thanks for your suggestion, just don't get it.

however if this is a workaround, you've missed the point.

The point is that it can be made automatic, and I think it would be helpful and innovative. You could also have something like a 'DWM' that represents 'discussed with most' or similar words. Doesn't matter what the acronym is.

Red (near name)

DWM = discussed with most
OP = original poster

Useful IMHO.
