I have high speed and dial up on same comp. How do I tell comp which one to use when I use internet?
Thanks
William

disable one connection. go to network connections and right click the one you don't want to usa and hit disable

Can I keep both and use high-speed sometimes and dial-up at other times? My dial-up I can't cancel for another six month, but I would like to keep high-speed. I would like to keep both mail accounts until then.
Thanks
William

Simply go to Network Connections, disable your dial-up and enable your high-speed, you should be able to do this as often as you need to. But since you have high-speed, why do you want to continue using your dial-up?

I have a contract I can't cancel for 6 more months on dial-up. So I will use dial-up for mail that I don't want to give my new e-mail address to. Some of them have traded or sold my dial-up address, I don"t want them to have access to my new addresses.

Well even though you have a contract, you dont need to actually use the service. The'll just keep billing you until the time is up.
