Hiding an ftp server...

Hello all,
Sorry for coming to your forums only because i need help, but i'll try and help others while i'm here- if i can...

Anyway, in a few weeks i need to go back to uni and i'll be running an ftp server from my computer. I'm connected to the internet via a network connection- i don't know how well they can monitor what we do, but i know that DC++ hubs no longer last very long, before they locate them and contact the persons responsible.
I need to try and hide my ftp server for about 6 weeks, i don't think i'm really doing anything wrong, but i can imagine that the uni wouldn't be too pleased with what i'll be hosting.
Is there a way i can hide the fact that i'll be running it?

With ftp servers you can specify which port is used... They will know it is a ftp server if you use port 21

so use ftp://ipaddress:80 or some random number

The only problem would be getting past a firewall.

the university firewall... If it worked in the past, it should still work.

Basically what the firewall would do is be OFF to all ports. not just 21
